Since 2021, Cathay has consolidated Group consensus through its sustainability strategy blueprint, establishing three sustainability pillars: Climate, Health, and Empowerment. These pillars extend to six dimensions : Low-Carbon Economy, Environmental Sustainability, Health Promotion, Financial Health, Workplace Empowerment, and Social Empowerment. Cathay has established specific action plans and quantifiable tracking targets, and reports target progress annually to the Cathay FHC's ESG Strategy Committee, the Corporate Sustainability Committee, and the Board of Directors to continuously create long-term value.

Cathay systematically reviews existing sustainability targets based on strategic relevance, materiality, and implementation status. By adopting differentiated management principles, Cathay focuses resources on projects with substantive impact in "Climate,Health, and Empowerment," while maintaining consistency with the company's overall sustainability commitments. Targets that have been achieved ahead of schedule or for which routine management mechanisms have been established are transferred to subsidiaries or relevant units for business continuity management and tracking in daily operations. Projects that no longer align with current development priorities due to changes in the operating environment or strategic adjustments are excluded from the sustainability strategy blueprint targets after internal review. Targets of strategic importance, whether achieved or not, remain included
in the sustainability strategy blueprint and are regularly reviewed and tracked through rigorous governance mechanisms.
c. Continue to benchmark against the latest sustainable finance standards
As regulations governing sustainable financial products, net-zero methodologies, and related standards―such as the ISSB and SBTi―continue to mature both domestically and internationally,the base years, calculation methods, and statistical approaches for certain indicators have been adjusted to enhance consistency, comparability, and transparency.
