Support TFT:Driving Education Reform

Through its support of Teach For Taiwan, Cathay helps bring impactful educators into classrooms, driving meaningful change in education. To date, 467 Teach For Taiwan fellows have been placed in 103 rural elementary schools, benefiting more than 8,310 students in underserved communities.

Taiwan Climate Action Expo ( TWCAE ) and Cathay Climate Change Youth Forum - Inspiring Climate Leadership and Innovation Through a Global Perspective

Since 2020, Cathay has organized the Youth Climate Forum for six consecutive years. Since 2021, the forum has been held in conjunction with the Climate Action Expo, known as Taiwan’s COP, creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue with youth and the public while inspiring climate action.

Elevated Tree Program - CUB Financial Education

Cathay United Bank launched the CUB Online Financial Literacy Program and the Sustainable Finance Exploration Camp, combining digital learning and experiential education to make financial literacy more relevant and accessible in everyday life.

Cathay Youth Excellence Scholarship－Creating a bright future for young people

The Cathay Excellence Scholarship has recognized 128 award recipients and granted a total of NT$9.12 million to support young leaders who excel academically and actively engage in social and environmental causes.

Youth Empowerment

Cathay strives to be a catalyst for young people to create change and address social and environmental challenges. Through Youth × Flipped Classroom, Youth × Sustainability, and Youth × Employability, Cathay cultivates the knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed to navigate the future, empowering youth to take action on social and environmental issues. In doing so, Cathay helps bridge the gap between education and employment while inspiring innovative solutions for a better world.

氣候青年培力

國泰金控長期關注氣候變遷議題，與天下雜誌合作「2020大學生CSR與氣候議題態度」調查，發現在氣候變遷議題上，超過95%大學生認為重要，超過55% 願意採取相關行動，為「培力青年」替氣候變遷找出路，國泰金控自與教育部、臺灣大學、國際氣候發展智庫、臺灣青年氣候聯盟等單位合作，從舉辦青年論壇、推動產學合作到提供實作資源，多方面打造臺灣的氣候人才庫。

Supporting the Underprivileged

Guided by the belief that “Happiness Comes from Helping Others,” Cathay actively responds to the needs of Taiwanese society through its extensive volunteer network and diverse resources. Through its two community engagement pillars, Self-Empowerment and Social Participation, Cathay helps people from diverse backgrounds gain confidence and skills, empowering them to improve their quality of life, participate actively in society, and unlock their full potential.

Building a care network for the elderly

Working with long-term care institutions and social welfare agencies, the Cathay Charity Foundation has created “Happy Farms,” barrier-free gardens designed to meet the needs of older adults. In addition to providing horticultural courses and planting activities, the program incorporates the vegetables grown by participants into communal meals and meal delivery services, fostering active aging and stronger community engagement.
