國泰世華力挺綠色金融 再獲經濟部『光鐸獎－優良金融服務獎』殊榮表揚
Cathay United Bank – Pioneer in Green Finance in Taiwan Awarded the “2018 Top Solar System Award – Best Financier” Honor by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA)
國泰世華推廣綠色金融成效顯著，獲頒經濟部能源局第五屆優良太陽光電系統光鐸獎－優良金融服務獎殊榮，由企金事業處副總經理温珍瀚代表接受蔡英文總統頒獎，本次也是國泰世華繼2016年後再度獲得此殊榮。
深耕綠能產業成效顯著，國泰世華再次榮獲光鐸獎肯定
行政院於2016年起推動新能源政策，希望未來達到再生能源發電量可占總發電量比率20%以上的目標，並宣布未來綠色能源的發展將著重在太陽光電、離岸風電二大項目。綠能產業前景可期，亦衍生大規模的資金需求，金融業則結合核心職能傾力挹注，加速國內綠色能源發展。
國泰世華銀行長期深耕綠能產業，網羅國際人才成立專案融資團隊，為臺灣最早投入太陽能電站融資的先驅銀行，亦為國內太陽能電站融資銀行領導品牌。至2018年6月底累計核貸超過1,500處電站、電廠裝置容量達423MW，年減二氧化碳排放量約28萬公噸，約當於718座大安森林公園吸碳量，成績斐然，2018年9月二度榮獲經濟部『優良太陽光電系統光鐸獎-金融服務獎』，表彰國泰世華在太陽能電廠融資的優異成績。
國泰世華專注綠色金融，共創台灣永續未來
國泰世華銀行於2016年5月主辦我國首宗離岸風力兩座示範風機聯貸案件並擔任額度管理銀行、帳戶管理銀行與擔保品管理銀行，同年完成臺灣第一個適用赤道原則以及專案融資精神之大型屋頂型太陽能電廠。繼而在2017年開始發展台灣第一個以純粹有限追索權專案融資且遵循赤道原則之大型地面型太陽能電廠案並於2018年5月完成簽約；同年4月則以專案融資之專業財務顧問角色協助離岸風場開發商成功獲得遴選電量配額，更於6月擔任海洋風力發電公司22座風機之聯貸籌組案之議約銀行、擔保品管理銀行及保證額度管理銀行，為臺灣首宗離岸風電無追索權專案融資案。

The annual Energy Taiwan Forum was held in Taipei in September and successfully concluded with Cathay United Bank (CUB) once again being awarded the ‘Top Solar System Award – Best Financier” honor for 2018. Michael Wen, Executive Vice President, represented CUB to receive this honored award from President Tsai Ing-wen at the September 19th Award Ceremony. CUB was the first bank in Taiwan to receive this honor when the MOEA “Top-Solar System Award - Best Financier” was first launched in 2016 in recognition of CUB’s continuing support for solar power projects.
CUB has been leading Taiwan’s green financing initiative since it first began financing roof-top solar power projects in 2011. By June of 2018, CUB will have provided financing to over 1,500 solar power plants with a total installed capacity of 423MW. In support of the Taiwan government’s plan to have an energy mix consisting of at least 20% renewable energy in the future, including 20GW of solar power, CUB has begun to finance larger ground mount solar power projects on a limited or non-recourse project finance basis as well.
CUB was also the first bank in Taiwan to adopt the Equator Principles, an internationally recognized risk management framework, for determining, assessing, and managing environmental and social risk in projects. The Equator Principles were successfully applied in Taiwan for the first time in 2016 to a large-scale roof-top solar power project in Southern Taiwan as well as the first offshore wind project, the Formosa I Offshore Wind Project, currently under construction off the coast of Miaoli.
CUB is greatly honored to be presented by President Tsai with this award from the MOEA and will continue its mission to remain the leading green finance institution in Taiwan.
